PAWNEE CITY – Juan Ramirez Jr., 29, of Lincoln is scheduled for preliminary hearing in Pawnee County on Feb. 5 on charges of assault.
A sheriff’s office affidavit says a 39-year-old woman described a Dec. 24 assault that included pressure on her airway. The affidavit says the woman recanted her statements days after the report, but told investigators Ramirez threatened to retaliate if she didn’t recant.
