LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Center for People’s annual Toyland event provided gifts for hundreds of children across Lincoln this Christmas, helping families celebrate Christmas through a mobile toy distribution program.
This year’s event served 730 children in Lincoln, with each child receiving gifts in green Santa bags. Volunteers spent the days leading up to Christmas wrapping gifts and preparing for the holiday distribution.
Stephanie Marino, a student at Southeast Community College, said the program helped relieve stress during the holidays. Marino balances full-time work while raising 12-year-old twin daughters and a teenage son, all while maintaining a 4.0 GPA in business…
