Remains discovered on a rural farm in Nebraska have been identified as Jerica Hamre, a mother of three who had been missing for more than 18 months.
The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) said in a news release and a press conference on Monday, Dec. 22, that Hamre’s body was found on Wednesday, Dec. 17, on a farm in rural Furnas County.
After months of extensive but unsuccessful search efforts involving multiple agencies, community groups, and Hamre’s loved ones, a man working in a field alerted authorities on Dec. 17 after coming across human remains in an “old farm shed,” LPD Capt.
