The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office issued more than 150 citations and made three arrests during a year-end high-visibility enforcement campaign.
Funded through a mini-grant from the Nebraska highway safety office, the enforcement effort placed additional deputies on duty between Dec. 12 and Dec. 27, with a focus on impaired drivers.
In total, participating deputies contacted 211 vehicles, issued 153 official citations, issued 182 warning/defect cards, made 2 criminal arrests, and arrested 1 person for having an outstanding arrest warrant…
