Rural Adams man dies in crash near Sterling

STERLING, Neb. (News Channel Nebraska) – Johnson County authorities are reporting a crash that happened early Friday morning, one mile west of Sterling.

Johnson County Attorney Ben Beethe says sheriff’s officers received an emergency call about a single-vehicle crash involving a pickup.

The 2005 Dodge Ram was driven by 74-year-old James Young, of rural Adams. He was declared dead at the scene of the mishap. Authorities said he was using a safety restraint at the time of the crash…
