LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) — The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Agricultural Profitability conducted a study on the estimated cost of crop production for corn, soybeans, and wheat.
All crop costs are steadily increasing, but the largest jump is for irrigated soybeans, up nearly 10% in cost per bushel since the last report in 2024.
Seed, fertilizer, pesticides, machinery, and ownership costs are all estimated to reach their highest in the past five years…
