Lincoln Southwest outlasted Lincoln Northeast with a 61-50 win on Friday, Jan. 16, 2026, at Lincoln Northeast High School. The Silverhawks improved its record to 11-1 and moved its away record to 7-0.
Lincoln Southwest only trailed in the first quarter after two 3-pointers from Northeast senior Hayden Tenopir to open the game. But the Silverhawks got hot on both sides and went on a 21-3 run to end the quarter.
The Silverhawks continued their dominance all the way through the next two quarters, leading 53-27 at the end of the third. But in the fourth quarter the Rockets came alive and put the game within nine with under two minutes to go…
