Frigid temperatures can’t freeze crime

Despite temperatures plunging to subzero levels last week, individuals haven’t held back from braving the cold to commit crimes.

On Jan. 19, University of Nebraska-Lincoln police officers inside the Nebraska Union engaged in a brief foot pursuit with an individual after one officer recognized that the individual had a warrant out for their arrest from a previous contact with police.

Officers tackled and arrested the non-student outside the Nebraska Union for the warrant, obstructing a police officer and drug possession…
