Nebraska- Nebraska Game and Parks Commission educators have scheduled interesting and engaging events for February, including a full moon walk, and discovering the science of squirrels.
Tomorrow, February 1st, World Wetlands Day will be celebrated with a winter hike at Frank Shoemaker Marsh, located north of Lincoln, from 4:45 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. There will be about 30 minutes of walking in 10-minute intervals on unpaved trails. Art materials and paper will be available, though participants can bring their own, through this free-of-charge walk with nature through a guided hike, with the option to create sketches and writings while observing the full moon and having experts available to educate about wetland ecology. Parking space is limited, so carpooling is encouraged and there are no restrooms.
