LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Several Lincoln high schoolers walked out of class on Wednesday morning to protest ICE.
Lincoln Public Schools estimates around 200-300 students from Southeast High School marched in protest around the school at 37th Street and Sheridan Boulevard. They carried signs and yelled chants to express their concern. One sign read, “skipping our lessons to teach you one.”
Lincoln Southeast sent an email to families Wednesday night informing them of the students’ choice to walkout and emphasized that student walkouts are not approved nor organized by Southeast High School or Lincoln Public Schools…
