Nebraska Volleyball alum Maisie Boesiger recalled the moment she learned about her sister Malorie Boesiger’s commitment to the Huskers and how emotional she felt upon hearing the news. The Boesiger sisters pursued the same career after graduating from Norris High School.

Boesiger, who graduated from the volleyball program in 2025, is set to join LOVB Nebraska as a social media specialist and remain associated with the sport behind the scenes.

Boesiger was a Nebraskan from 2022 to 2025, debuting at the collegiate level as a serving specialist. She helped her team win several times, and in 2025, started as a libero for the first time on Senior Day, posting a team-leading 22 serve attempts, 13 digs, and five assists. After the Big Reds’ heartbreaking loss to Texas A&M in the Elite Eight, Boesiger drew a line under her collegiate life but ensured she would stay in the sport through different roles.

Her sister, Malorie, who also followed the same career path, graduated from Norris and committed to the same college program, set to start as a setter in the class of 2027. Recalling the moment the news broke to the family, the libero shared that she was barely able to hold back her tears and started crying. Everyone was so excited. I started sobbing immediately.
