Seward man convicted in ex-fiancé’s abuse, murder in plea deal

SEWARD, Neb. (KOLN) — The Seward man charged in the fatal shooting of his ex-fiancé was convicted of murder and a slew of other crimes Tuesday.

Prosecutors offered 55-year-old Casey Kindt a plea deal for abusing and ultimately murdering 36-year-old Jamie Hagen.

Kindt changed his pleas from not guilty to no contest on eight felony counts and three misdemeanors. Judge James Stecker found him guilty…
