LINCOLN, NEB. — South Dakota State sees several top 10 program marks at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational on Friday and Saturday, highlighted by freshman Brady Wallace becoming the second Jackrabbit to run under eight seconds in the 60-meter hurdles.
Wallace put on an impressive performance Friday evening. The freshman tied his personal record of 8.03 in the prelims to earn a spot in the finals. In the finals, Wallace ran under eight seconds at 7.90 to finish second and become the second-best performer in program history. Wallace is the second Jackrabbit ever to run under eight seconds. Pierre Lear was the first to this accomplishment with his program record of 7.81.
On the women’s side, Silja Gunderson clocked a time of 8.73 in the prelims to become the seventh-best performer in program history. In the finals, Gunderson ran 8.75 to finish fifth…
