LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man accused in a central Lincoln shooting over the weekend made his first court appearance on Tuesday.
Court documents show that 40-year-old Paul Kon is charged with first-degree assault, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. His bond was set at 10 percent of $250,000.
Lincoln police were called to the area of South 12th Street and E Street on multiple reports of gunshots at 4:30 p.m. One report indicated that the victim was picked up by a passerby and taken to the hospital.
Officers secured the scene and found a pool of blood and a trail of blood spots believed to be from the victim. Documents show that officers recovered five spent casings from the scene, of three different brands of ammunition…
