Lincoln Police have released additional details after the body of a woman was found in a retention pond at 50th and R Monday afternoon, the same day she was reported missing. A passerby called 911 around 2:30 p.m. after spotting the body in the water.
Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded and assisted in getting the body from the water. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says an autopsy was completed Tuesday and the cause of death was undetermined. Thomas says someone the woman lived with called police Monday to report her as missing.
