Lincoln Police see record-breaking number of crashes during Thursday snowfall

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Lincoln Police Department (LPD) said Thursday’s snowfall led to a record-breaking number of crashes in the city and a surge in 911 calls.

Officers responded to 95 crashes across Lincoln, not including other snow-related calls such as roadside assistance and traffic hazards. That total also does not include crashes in which drivers agreed to exchange information and did not wait for an officer to respond.
