Polar Plunge: Dozens take dip for Special Olympics Nebraska

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Be bold, get cold. That was the motto at Holmes Lake to support Special Olympics Nebraska for Saturday’s Polar Plunge. Plungers raised money by collecting pledges and taking a dip in frigid temperatures.

These Polar Plunges are happening all over the state, but in Lincoln it was 23 degrees. That didn’t stop participants from hopping into the lake.

“I mean we’re here to have a good time and to plunge,” said Peyton Scott from North Star High School’s Unified Club. “We’re all about inclusivity and all here together to show off the unified North Star team”…
