LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A woman was arrested during a traffic stop Sunday morning after the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office said deputies found more than $2 million worth of meth in her vehicle.
Around 11 a.m. at the Interstate 80 and Interstate 180 intersection in north Lincoln, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a Toyota Camry driven by 42-year-old Nadia Castro after she failed to signal and was following another vehicle too close, LSO said.
After consenting to a search, deputies located a grocery bag full of meth in Castro’s trunk, according to LSO. They also found 16 pounds of meth in one spare tire and 22 pounds in another, totaling to 48 pounds of meth, LSO said.
According to LSO, Castro was taking more than $2 million worth of meth to Omaha. She was arrested on suspicion of possession of 140+ grams of meth and no drug tax stamp.
Castro will attend her arraignment Monday at 2 p.m…
