LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man accused in the 2024 fire that destroyed a vacant Village Inn in Lincoln was arraigned on Friday.
Matthew Kempston, 40, is charged with third-degree arson in Lancaster County Court. A judge set his bond at 10% of $25,000.
Court documents show that Lincoln Fire and Rescue and Lincoln Police officers were called to the Village Inn at 29th and O streets on Nov. 20, 2024, for a fire. The structure had been abandoned for some time.
