Patchy freezing drizzle tonight gives way to ‘unsettled’ week ahead

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The forecast has a lot to watch for through this week, with some wintry weather still potentially lingering into Monday morning and then off and on chances for generally light rain through the week, with an outside chance of possibly seeing a few thunderstorms later this week with generally mild temperatures through this week and into next weekend.

Freezing drizzle tonight could lead to slick spots Monday morning

The main concern for wintry weather will be tonight into early Monday morning as freezing drizzle is possible in southeastern Nebraska, with a light glaze to around a tenth of an inch of ice accumulation possible. Areas that pick up the wintry mix and freezing drizzle could have slick surfaces that will impact the Monday morning commute. The areas that have the best chance to see a little bit of ice have Winter Weather Advisories in place through 9 AM Monday into far southeastern Nebraska.
