LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The fire at a Middle Eastern restaurant/market last month has officially been ruled as arson, Lincoln Fire Inspector Chuck Schweitzer announced Monday.
On Feb. 18, crews were first called to Al Nor Market at 27th and Pear streets at 10:27 p.m., and the response was quickly upgraded. Lincoln Fire and Rescue said initial reports indicated there were flames and the smoke was from floor to ceiling.
Battalion Chief Bob Watton said crews were dispatched after reports of smoke inside the structure. Officers with the Lincoln Police Department arrived on scene before firefighters and confirmed there was an active fire in the building…
