Lincoln, Nebraska – A Tornado Watch remains in effect for nine counties across southeast Nebraska until 10 p.m. CST Friday, placing Lincoln and surrounding communities at risk for tornadoes, wind gusts up to 70 mph, and large hail during the evening commute.
According to the National Weather Service Storm Prediction Center in Norman, Tornado Watch 16 includes Lancaster, Cass, Gage, Otoe, Nemaha, Johnson, Pawnee, Richardson, and Jefferson counties as conditions support rotating thunderstorms capable of producing brief tornadoes…
