Task force working to protect homes, land from western Nebraska wildfire, LFR says

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Lincoln Fire and Rescue provided an update on the 11-member task force sent to protect structures and property from wildfires in western Nebraska.

The Morrill County Fire has burned more than 572,804 acres and killed one person. It remains 0% contained Monday morning.

The crew was requested and authorized by Lincoln Mayor Leirion Gaylor Baird and Fire Chief Dave Engler at Pillen’s request to spend seven days assisting with the wildfires…
