Richard “Rick” Lee Spencer, age 69, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on March 14, 2026, in Lincoln, NE surrounded by his loving family.
Rick was born and raised in Alliance to Richard and Eileen Spencer. He carried the values of hard work, sarcasm (jokester he was) and devotion to family throughout his life.
Rick dedicated 44 years of service to BNSF Railway, where he built a respected career and lasting friendships. Prior to his retirement, Rick and his beloved wife, Linda, moved to Lincoln to enjoy their next chapter together. Rick was known not only for his dedication and love for family, but also for his quick wit and playful sense of humor. He loved to tease, tell jokes and keep everyone around him laughing. If there was an opportunity for a good one-liner or a little harmless mischief, Rick was usually right in the middle of it…
