The treasurer of the Morley Elementary Parent Teacher Organization is accused of embezzling thousands of dollars from the group. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says police took a report of the theft July 8, 2025.
“Investigators with our Technical Investigations Unit conducted a lengthy and in-depth investigation,” Thomas says. “It determined 42-year-old Anna Warner of Lincoln used nearly $15,000 for personal use on dozens of Amazon and Target purchases and credit card payments between March 2023 and May 2025.”
Thomas says none of that money was not used for PTO events, teacher gifts or school functions. Warner was arrested this morning and taken to the Lancaster County Jail where she was booked for theft by unlawful taking $5,000 or more…
