LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A Lincoln man accused of setting a playground on fire and hitting a police officer with drumsticks was arrested Thursday.
Lincoln police were called to the area of 10th and Benton streets at 10:45 a.m. on a report of a fire. The caller reported that 24-year-old Sang Huynh was pouring gasoline on playground equipment behind a home and threatened to burn it down before setting the fire.
Police said Huynh left the area before officers arrived.
While investigating the fire, officers found Huynh walking near 27th and Superior streets and attempted to speak with him, but he continued walking into traffic. Huynh then pulled out two drumsticks and took an aggressive stance toward an officer following him before walking away again…
