Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced Tuesday that traffic changes on “O” Street between 16th and 13th streets will begin this Sunday, as the City prepares to launch a multi-phase effort to rebuild and reimagine one of its most iconic corridors.
LTU says westbound lanes will close for tree removal and pre-construction work, while one lane in each direction will remain open to traffic. Crews will also perform minor pavement and sidewalk work in select areas. Sidewalks will remain open to pedestrians, keeping access convenient for the community.
LTU reminds residents that a Project “O” Street pre-construction open house will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the lobby of Union Bank Place near 13th and “O” Street. Project staff will be available to answer questions and share information about planned improvements, project phasing, and the construction schedule. No formal presentation is planned…
