The Capital Humane Society has received a $6,500 grant from a national animal welfare organization that works to save cats and dogs in shelters across the country. CHS Director of Marketing, Shana Perry, says the Rachael Ray “Save Them All” grant from Best Friends Animal Society will support lifesaving efforts in Lincoln through shelter intake diversion programming.
By removing economic barriers for pet owners, Perry says their goal is to prevent 66 cats and dogs from being surrendered to the Admissions and Assessment Center. “This Rachael Ray ‘Save Them All’ grant means we can assist more pets and owners with lifesaving vaccinations and remove economic barriers to continued pet ownership,” Perry says.
“These animals deserve support, and we deeply appreciate the funding from Best Friends and the Rachael Ray Foundation.
