Storm chances by Saturday evening; threat of severe weather across southeast Nebraska and again Sunday

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Friday has been a nice break with pleasant weather and cooler temperatures in the 60s to around 70°.

There is a low-end risk (about 5% chance) to see a severe storm out in western Nebraska this evening where a Marginal (Level 1 of 5) risk is in place.

Today will smoothly turn into a comfortable night under mostly clear skies with temperatures eventually falling to the middle 40s Saturday morning, also considered a seasonal start for a morning in late-April.

Becoming cloudy with scattered storms possible Saturday evening

A cold front moving through the region will bring cooler temperatures and multiple chances for rain this weekend, with a few strong storms possible both Saturday and Sunday.

Clouds will increase on Saturday, leaving us with seasonal temperatures in the upper 60s and winds out of the east around 10-20 mph.
