‘Give it a facelift:’ Community organizers work to reopen Lincoln’s historic Meadowlane Pool

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A once bustling community space could soon be getting a renovation, as several advocates work to raise money and reopen the Meadowlane Pool.

Located in the middle of the Meadowlane neighborhood in northeast Lincoln, the pool was built in the 1960s and has been closed since 2023. The pool currently needs new electrical systems, plumbing, concrete decking and resurfacing.
