Man arrested after alleged attack on officer in south Lincoln Arby’s restroom

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – A man was arrested Tuesday night after allegedly attacking a Lincoln police officer in an Arby’s restroom.

Officers responded to the Arby’s at South 27th Street and Nebraska Parkway around 9:55 p.m. after dispatch received a call and could hear what sounded like a man and woman fighting in the background.

The first officer to arrive located the caller, identified as 36-year-old Joseph Bertolino of Florida, in the restroom.

As the officer attempted to take Bertolino into custody, a struggle ensued, according to the Lincoln Police Department…
