Man convicted of killing two people outside Lincoln gentlemen’s club requests new trial

LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The man found guilty of gunning down two men outside a Lincoln gentlemen’s club in 2024 is requesting a new trial and a new attorney.

Court documents filed Wednesday show that a Lancaster County District Court judge heard arguments and granted motions for 34-year-old Christopher Johnson’s defense counsel to withdraw. Johnson will be appointed a new public defender.
