LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The man found guilty of gunning down two men outside a Lincoln gentlemen’s club in 2024 is requesting a new trial and a new attorney.
Court documents filed Wednesday show that a Lancaster County District Court judge heard arguments and granted motions for 34-year-old Christopher Johnson’s defense counsel to withdraw. Johnson will be appointed a new public defender.
A motion for a new trial filed by Johnson’s current counsel was not heard Wednesday because of a change in counsel. The motion will be heard June 5 at 8:30 a.m…
