Nebraska fab shop embraces the jobs others avoid

For David Letterman fans, the Top 10 Lists from his late-night show’s fictitious home office in Wahoo, Neb., were a nightly must.

Alas, those legendary lists—and the downtown sign paying tribute to Letterman’s greatness—have ceased to be. And while there are no stupid pet tricks or Alka Seltzer suits to be seen in Wahoo, this town of 5,040 people just west of Omaha still boasts at least one organization willing to do something daring and different: Rebellion Fabrication.

In fact, that’s all the owners of the 7-year-old fab shop want to do.

Jumping Off the Cliff

It all started during lunch at a Chinese restaurant a few years ago, when what became Rebellion was just a garage shop run by co-owner Ross Gredys, before he and his friend and future business partner, Matt Cade, had any clue what was coming. But let’s back up…
