‘Honor and celebrate’: Seward community helps VFW prepare for Memorial Day

SEWARD, Neb. (KLKN) — The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4755 in Seward is getting the community involved for Memorial Day.

“It’s just a day to reflect and to remember,” said Marty Walter, a member of the VFW Post 4755. “To honor and celebrate what they did for us in their ultimate sacrifice.”

Around 30 people helped clean and place American flags on every fallen soldier’s grave at the Greenwood and Seward cemeteries…
