Small craft advisory issued for Arkansas River

LITTLE ROCK, Ark.- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has issued a small craft advisory for the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System due to high river flows caused by heavy rainfall in western Arkansas this week.

According to USACE, Arkansas River flows below Dardanelle Lock and Dam have exceeded 70,000 cubic feet per second, creating potentially hazardous conditions for recreational boaters.
