Springdale parent working to bring Angel Army Resources to Arkansas after son’s overdose death

GREENLAND, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Springdale mother Jenny Neville is working with Angel Army to bring more educational resources on drug and opioid awareness to teens and families in Arkansas.

Angel Army is an organization that offers grief services to bereaving parents who have lost their child to a drug overdose. The organization was formed from a partnership between Victoria’s Voice, Fentanyl Fathers, and Eric’s House, three non-profit organizations that provide educational resources and grief services to combat the opioid epidemic.

Neville’s son, Clay Baker, died from an accidental fentanyl overdose in 2015 at the age of 26. In October 2025, she connected with Angel Army and has since been working toward bringing some of their educational resources to Northwest Arkansas schools.

“It’s just a disease that is in your DNA. And whatever triggers that, if you’re not prepared then you know you’re going to fall. And when you fall, you need somebody to catch you. And unfortunately, Clay wouldn’t let us catch him,” said Neville…
