LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Arkansas Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders named a Marianna man as the June “Face of Arkansas.”
Harold Jones is a fourth-generation owner of Jones Bar-B-Q Dinner and the seventh person nominated for the monthly award. Officials said his portrait and story will be displayed at the entrance to the governor’s office as a reminder of who the governor and her team serve.

The diner advertises that it has been in business since 1910 and has remained generally unchanged since its founding. It is believed to be the oldest continuously operating restaurant in Arkansas and one of the oldest continuously operating Black-owned restaurants in the United States, officials said.
