The Arkansas Game and Fish Commission is opening a new pilot program designed to help landowners manage alligators on their property while creating additional hunting opportunities through the state’s public alligator permit system.
According to the AGFC, landowners in south Arkansas can enroll their property through June 22 to participate in the program. Properties selected will be included in the agency’s alligator public land hunts, allowing hunters who draw permits to pursue alligators on enrolled private property.
