Little Rock’s Juneteenth in the Rock marks 17 years of celebrating freedom

LITTLE ROCK, AR (KATV) — Juneteenth is almost here, and Little Rock is getting ready to throw one of the region’s biggest celebrations with Juneteenth in the Rock — now in its 17th year.

Mosaic Templars Director Keith Fletcher said the event is expanding in a big way this year, adding a new Friday kickoff on June 19 — the official Juneteenth holiday — before the all-day outdoor festival on Saturday.
