Former Little Rock police chief appointed as director of Arkansas Division on Law Enforcement Standards and Training

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — On July 14, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders announced that Heath Helton, who recently retired as Little Rock Police Chief, has been appointed as director of the Arkansas Division on Law Enforcement Standards and Training (ADLEST).

The ADLEST runs three law enforcement training academies, which serve state, county, municipal, and other law enforcement officers.
