HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. – Arkansas Economic Development officials said on Friday that a Heber Springs hardwood furniture manufacturer is making a major investment in a state-of-the-art facility.
Officials said James & James LLC will be investing more than $9.4 million in the project. The company said it plans to create 49 new jobs in the next four years.

As part of its expansion in Heber Springs, officials said James & James plans to become a vertically integrated operation by combining its direct-to-consumer solid wood furniture manufacturing business with a lumber milling operation. The company also intends to grow its trade and business-to-business services for interior designers and other design professionals.
The new facility is part of a larger companywide effort to incorporate technology and data throughout its operations. James & James is using data-driven tools to enhance marketing, improve the customer experience, streamline lumber milling and refine the furniture production process while maintaining what officials call its tradition of generations-old craftsmanship.
