Fred Love slams governor for ‘comms before substance’ on food stamps restriction

As Milo Strain reported earlier today, new restrictions on using SNAP benefits (food stamps) for junk food in Arkansas go into effect Wednesday. Gov. Sarah Sanders took the opportunity to grandstand in a press conference Monday at an Edward’s Food Giant.

State Sen. Fred Love (D-Little Rock), who is running against Sanders for governor, took to Facebook to argue that Sanders is again putting “comms before substance” (a reference to a 2024 comment made by a staffer in the attorney general’s office lamenting that Sanders was playing fast and loose with the facts during a hapless witch hunt for Chinese-owned businesses)…
