Southwest City police arrest Arkansas homicide suspect

SOUTHWEST CITY, Mo. — Last week, the Southwest City Police Department found themselves responsible for arresting a homicide suspect from across state lines.

Thursday, the department received a call to be on the lookout for a vehicle involved in a shooting in Sulphur Springs, Arkansas.

The department posted a vehicle alongside a roadway leading from the Sulphur Springs area and after a few minutes, officer Jason Williams spotted the vehicle passing by.

After a short pursuit through town, Officer Williams had the suspect, Hunter Anderson, in custody after the Anderson surrendered himself. He was kept at the McDonald County detention center for several days and was then extradited on those charges back to Arkansas…
