NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Strong storms that moved through central Arkansas Saturday evening are believed to have sparked a grass and woods fire near Burns Park.
The North Little Rock Fire Department said storms rolled through the area around 6:30 p.m., bringing rain, strong winds, power outages and reports of damaged electrical lines.
Crews from Engine 4, Engine 8 and Battalion 8 responded to Interstate 40 East near the Burns Park exit after receiving reports of a woods fire. Firefighters located a grass and woods fire that was believed to have been started by electrical lines during the storm…
