PINE BLUFF, Ark. – Simmons First National Corp., parent company of Simmons Bank, announced in a Sept. 3 SEC filing that it will close 26 branches across six states, including six locations in Arkansas.
According to content partner Talk Business & Politics, the Arkansas closures will affect branches in Pine Bluff, Fort Smith, North Little Rock, Hot Springs and Jonesboro. Approximately 100 employees will be impacted, though the company said it expects to retain about 70% of the employees through reassignment or alternative roles.
