JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – More businesses in Arkansas are adding extra fees at checkout, and college students say the added charges make tight budgets harder to manage.
According to the Arkansas Attorney General’s Office, businesses are allowed to charge a convenience fee for credit card transactions. This is a charge passed on to customers to cover the cost of using non-standard payment methods.
