OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) — The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) announced nearly $12 million in grant funding on Monday for Oklahoma and four other states to protect local infrastructure and mitigate future disaster risks.
In a press release, the funding coincides with President Donald Trump’s “America First Resilience Strategy,” which treats disaster resilience as an investment opportunity.
The White House released the strategy in June 2026, aiming to strengthen the country’s ability to withstand and recover from disasters, cyber threats, infrastructure disruptions, and other crises while moving responsibility and decision-making to the states, local governments, industry, and citizens.
