MAUMELLE, Ark. – An early Sunday morning crash into the front of a Maumelle Waffle House has resulted in the death of an employee.
According to investigators, Maumelle police responded to the Waffle House on Highway 365, which is near the Morgan/Maumelle exit just off Interstate 40, regarding a vehicle driving into the restaurant at 12:25 a.m.
Investigators said that due to injuries from the crash, an employee of the restaurant was killed. The identity of that employee has not been released, pending notification to next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle, Ranisha Peebles, was arrested and is now facing charges of negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to a chemical test, reckless driving and obstruction of governmental operations, according to investigators…
