NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The North Little Rock Police Department announced Monday that one of its K9 officers has died.
The department said K9 Vaughan, a 5-year-old Dutch Shepherd, passed away unexpectedly Saturday at home following an illness.
“Today, there is an empty place in a patrol car, in our department, and most painfully, in the home and heart of the handler who loved him,” part of the department statement read.
