SHERWOOD, Ark. (KATV) — Sherwood voters will choose between incumbent Mayor Mary Jo Heye-Townsell and three challengers, Jay Bir, Nara Smith and Mike Willingham, on Nov. 3, with infrastructure, public safety and communication among the candidates’ priorities.
Heye-Townsell said her administration’s focus on infrastructure has improved roads and parks and brought new accessible playgrounds to the city. She wants to continue drainage and sewer improvements and address the condition of the city’s animal shelter.
“We have got to find a solution for our animal shelter,” Heye-Townsell said. “That has got to be such a huge priority.”…
